Saturday, January 2, 2010 The Quebec City Kebs tipped off the 2010 Premier Basketball League(PBL) season with a powerful victory against the Buffalo Stamped. The game was played at Laval University’s Peps Stadium. Starting at 7:30pm and ended the final score was 100 to 85.
The Quebec City Kebs captured the lead off the start and maintained their position to the end, only threatened a few times. Even with the loss of the Kebs star defensive player Jonas Pierre (6’10” center) early in the game they played an amazing defensive game, leaving no opportunities for Buffalo to advance.“We played collectively, but there are areas where we could improve,” said the Quebec City Kebs Head Coach Alejandro Hasbani. The Quebec team did not have a lot of time to fine tuned their plays as they faced off against the 2009 & 2008 PBL champions the Rochester RazorSharks on Sunday, January 3, 2010 in Quebec City.
