This was the first match this season between the two Canadian rivals in the Premier Basketball League (PBL) 2010 regular season. Despite the Quebec City Kebs aggressive plays capturing a lead of 4 points in the first quarter. The Rainmen started to fight back but the Kebs kept the pressure up until the last 2 minutes of the game. Missing opportunities on 3 points shots the Kebs lost momentum, and Halifax being successful on the other side of the court built a 14 points lead with 1 min to go. The Quebec City Kebs lost a very exciting game 90 to 80 to the Halifax Rainmen.
Though the Kebs bench was full there were only eight players on the court (Justin Johnson replaced by Jeremy Bell), the swaying of the fourth quarter could be attributed to fatigue.
Quebec City Kebs Head Coach,Alejandro Hasbani says “we have to be proud of our players. They show they can beat everyone tonight. This was a good game and we started off aggressive attacking the rim with a strong defense. Yet we played this match without our star defensive player (Jonas Pierre) and two others (LP Levros and Cordell Jeanty) on the sidelines. “
