HASBANI SATISFIED WITH PLAYERS PERFORMANCE

On Saturday, December 20 at the Halifax Metro Centre the only two Canadian teams from the  Premier Baskeball League (PBL) faced off. The Quebec City Kebs played a tight first preseason game against the Halifax Rainmen but in the end the Rainmen captured the game winning 108-90.

"I am very pleased with all of our players, in particular rookie Dwayne Buckley (6,3, guard)
explained Alejandro Hasbani Head Coach of the Quebec City Kebs. "The Halifax Rainmen attacked the Kebs early in the first quarter with 3-point shots taking a first-half advantage of 16 points. We had a slow start, but there was a period in the second half when we started to come back. We just followed our game plan."

Despite the game outcome Coach Alejandro Hasbani only has good words for the team. "We still have work to do and our roster is still incomplete, but we held our ground against the Rainmens’ full roster. We can be proud of what we have accomplished here."

The players that stood out from Quebec City Kebs were: Cordell Jeanty (
6'5", forward) a former Halifax Rainman, with 31 points and Jonas Pierre (6’10"centre), with 24 points and 5 blocks.
